Pace was founded in 1988 by a shop owner much like yourself. Rick Spahn was an early adopter of the PC, well before the industry settled on IBM as a standard. Immediately seeing the potential for shop automation, Rick began to write the first version of Yes during the nights while he managed his shop in the daytime. Of course, he first implemented the system in his own shop, but before long many shops in the area bought a copy of their own.
Convinced that a new market was opening up, and hoping to become a leader therein, Rick sold his successful Chicago shop and moved to Florida to found Pace Software. In the ensuing years, Pace has grown from a single man operation to a bustling company with several departments, and has successfully navigated through platform changes, software rewrites, and heavy competition. We are here to stay. Welcome to the premier provider of shop management systems for today and tomorrow.
While building the company to what it is today; Rick never let go of his beliefs and has passed those beliefs on to every person that works here at Pace. We believe in 100% customer satisfaction. Before the purchase, we will spend as much time needed to answer any and all questions that the potential customer may have. We do not believe in pushy sales tactics as we want our customers to be happy in knowing that they made their purchase because this is the system they felt would help the productivity of their hop and not because a sales person pushed them into the purchase.
Tech support is an extremely important asset to our company as they are the life line for our customers. Our tech support team is ready and excited to train new customers and provide assistance when needed. During training our tech team takes the time to establish a relationship with our new customer and learn what their goals are. This not only helps to insure the system is set up to fulfill the customer’s needs, it will also help us train the customer on how to use the system to its fullest
In all, our Pace team likes to consider ourselves part or our customer’s extended family, helping them reach their goals!
