We recommend Windows 2003/2008 Server Standard Edition using Terminal Services for a multi-user environment of 4 or more users. When operating in the Terminal environment, the workstations do not actually run the Yes program, but rather connect to the server and simply transmit the screen images and mouse/keyboard commands. Yes data is never sent over the network, so the workstations gain the speed and data stability of the server. This requires a Local Area Network (Wired or Wireless) connecting all the computers that will use the Yes program.

There is an additional Microsoft Licensing requirement for the Windows 2003.2008 Server SE. In addition to the cost of the Server OS, there will also be Client Access Licenses (CAL) and Terminal Services Client Access Licensing(TSCAL).

* This assumes a multi-user environment with up to 8 users. If more users are required, Pace can advise you on any adjustments to these specifications.

If you will be running Yes in a Single User, or a multi-user of 3 stations or less, you may choose to operate the Yes program in a peer to peer network environment, where you have a station designated as a Server Peer that hosts your Yes data centrally, but can be accessed and operated by independent installations of Yes running on up to 2 other Stations. This requires a wired Local Area Network (not Wireless) connecting all the computers that will use the Yes program.
