Invest in marketing campaigns using social media sites like Facebook or paid-search advertising. People are paying money to get DVRs and skip the commercials. While it’s always important to get your name and brand out there, traditional advertising may not be the way to go these days.
**Appreciate your current customers **
One great way to get new customers is by making your current customers happy! Let your current customers know they matter to you! Treat each person who walks through your door like they matter. Let them know that you are there to help them. By making your current customers happy, they are more likely to refer a friend. The more happy customers you have, the more potential new customers you have! Word-of-mouth is a powerful tool the in auto repair industry!
**Create a marketing plan**
Even if you can’t afford to hire a marketing person, make sure someone in your shop spends at least a couple of hours a week focusing on marketing! Come up with ideas and talk about them before implementing them. Make sure that when coming up with marketing ideas you’re thinking about your goals and needs for the upcoming business year. Make sure to focus on things such as increasing your revenue or bringing in new customers.
